Hello amazing parents, 
       I have a couple of reminders to keep everyone up to date. 
    1.  MAP make-up testing is still happening this week.
    2. Math and Spelling test (wk7) will be taken on Friday
    3. The novel study test for The Great Horn Spoon! (chapters 1-6) 
    4. NO TUTORING this Tuesday the 28th due to the History Showcase event afterschool.
    5. I will be sending home results from testing that relate to each students SCORE goals. I have made a note if the goal was achieved.
    6. The 4th grade field trip will be taking place in late February. I believe an email was sent out to parents with information regarding signing the forms on PowerSchool. If you have any questions about the field trip please contact the front office.

This is the Field Trip information that was emailed to all fourth grade parents. 

 

Ok fourth grade parents... IT'S TIME FOR A FIELD TRIP!!!

Our reservations are made, our buses are booked, and now we need to get ourselves ready.

On Wednesday, February 26th all Sycamore fourth grade students are invited to attend a field trip! We will be going to Riley's Farm at Riley's Farm at 12261 Oak Glen Road Yucaipa, CA 92399.

Here's what we need parents to do:

1. All students and chaperones are required to wear a school shirt on the field trip. If you purchased a shirt at the beginning of this year or have your field trip shirt from last year, please have your student wear this shirt to school on field trip day. New students will receive a FREE shirt; additional shirts cost $10-$13. If you need to order a new shirt, please contact the office no later than Friday, February 7th by 4 PM. We will distribute shirts on or before February 21st.

2. Go to your PowerSchool Parent Portal and complete the permission slip for the event.  The permission slip is under the Forms section in your Parent Portal.

*In order for students to attend the field trip, a parent/guardian must complete the permission slip in the Parent Portal no later than Friday, February 7th by 4 PM. 

3. If you want to chaperone this event you must be a CLEARED volunteer.  Cleared volunteers need to email Amber or Sam no later than 4 PM on February 7th to be considered.  Please put "Riley’s Farm” in the subject line.  If we have more volunteers than the number we are permitted to take, we will have a lottery to determine who will attend.

*Groups will be split up by classrooms and we will need 6 parents from Wildomar and 5 parents from Chino to chaperone.

**The center is open to the public and parents/siblings will be able to purchase admission to explore on their own but will not be able to join the field trip groups until the tour is finished.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • The school will provide lunches for all students.

  • We encourage students to dress in comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes.

  • The school cell phone policy still applies on field trips.

  • Students can bring a small backpack with a water bottle, snacks, and/or a jacket but are 

  • responsible for carrying their personal belongings.

Chino students will be boarding buses at 8:15 AM and returning at approximately 4:00 PM (Bus will leave the school by 8:30 AM sharp!)

Wildomar students will be boarding buses at 8:30 AM and returning at approximately 4:00 PM.  (Bus will leave the school by 8:45 AM sharp!)
